You are cordially invited to the 2009 Annual Meeting of the Alabama Health Libraries Association to be held at the Hampton Inn & Suites Providence Park/Airport in Mobile, AL, September 16-18, 2009. The theme for this year's meeting is: Celebrate Health Science Libraries: Managing Change! 

ALHeLA is pleased to offer two excellent CE courses, with both presenters being from the National Network of Libraries of Medicine.

On Wednesday afternoon, Sheila Snow Croft will teach Grants and Proposal Writing. 

On Thursday, Dale Prince will teach The Ropes: Planning Instruction for the Adult Learner.
[Note: this same course will be offered at the 2009 Annual Meeting of the SC/MLA 2009 in Memphis but at a much higher registration fee.]

Our speaker this year is Anne Glenzer, who is a Learning & Development Manager with the University of South Alabama.  An excellent presenter, the topic of her speech will be “Under Construction - a Guide to Coping with Change.”  A panel discussion will follow.

The Meeting hotel is the Hampton Inn & Suites Providence Park/Airport, conveniently located in west Mobile in close proximity to the campus of the University of South Alabama.  The meeting room rate of $99 for a Double Queen or a King Standard includes both free hot breakfast and free wireless high-speed internet.  In addition, the Inn has a fitness center and an outdoor pool.  To make reservations, please call the hotel directly at (251) 776-5866 by August 28, 2009.
